As a first blog post here at the ol' Picture mechanics, I thought it might be fun to put up this project from the mid nineties.  I believe this was a promotion for a hotel chain, but I can't remember exactly.  What I do remember is it was a lot of fun. 

I believe there were about fourteen artists who were each commissioned to create a removable illustrated panel that decorated a custom made wooden clock.  At the time, who'd have thought that eight of these artists would years later be part of the Picture Mechanics?
