For the fall issue of 3x3, publisher Charles Hively asked me to create a calligraphic cover containing the names of the illustrators that 3x3 has featured to date––many of them Picture Mechanics: Founder Gary Taxali, Vivienne Flesher, Anita Kunz, Cathy Bleck, Mark Ulriksen, and Mark Burckhardt. This fall’s issue has Mark Murphy writing on Kristian Olson, Stefan G. Bucher writing on Lara Tomlin, and Jeffrey Decoster writing on me. There's also an interview with illustration icon John Hersey. If you haven’t yet subscribed, you’re missing out on an amazingly beautiful magazine dedicated to illustration.
