I did this sketchbook drawing of Jennifer in Old Town Pasadena with my Illustrative Storytelling class.  It's basically an acrylic ink wash drawing with a lot of dry brush for texture.  The drawing took 3 and a half hours.illsstry.oneclrdo.jspm.jpg

These 2 images were created for Reader's Digest, "You Be the Judge" column, where they discuss a case that's already been tried and give the reader a chance to make their own judgement. Victoria Nightingale, the AD, wanted the 2 illustrations to have a sequence like effect or even a diptych quality. This case was about a highway accident back in the early 80's, where a woman crossing the road gets accidentally hit, on coming cars stop to help, one of the helpers ends of getting hit by another car... the lawsuits unfold. The cases are never black and white, a lot of details cannot be included in such small spots that usually run 2 and a half inches square.
