Among other breaches of his office, LaRoque turned a federal rural loan program into his own personal slush fund. The feds shortly subpoenaed LaRoque, then indicted him last month for various counts of stealing and fraud. Turned out he'd used the money to buy himself several cars, Faberge eggs, an ice skating rink, and jewelry for his wife.
