Book review " the Real Wizard of Oz ". The article's author reflects on the durability of the fable and believes that the explanation lies in the simple coexistence of nostalgia and futurism. Since this was commissioned for Los Angeles magazine , I was asked to recreate the emerald city using LA architecture. art director: Lisa Lewis![]() |

It was fun to work on something 3D. ![]() |

This is my contribution to the Green show. " the Mad Pantheist " explores the theme of nature worship, and was inspired by the freaky moss in the woods close to our cottage. It's 24" x 36", acrylic on wood panel, and to date is the largest of my paintings. I loved painting to this format and can't wait to create more.

I created this piece for the summer issue of Standford Medicine magazine. The article discusses the factors that contribute to the increasing levels of breast cancer in women, and how some women are enveloping themselves in a false sense of "pink campaign" protection while continuing to make poor lifestyle choices. Dennis McLeod was the art director. |

To continue praise for Soojin...
I did this piece a while ago for Global Custodian magazine, it's a story about a joint venture. Her only direction was to not illustrate anything with stereotypical money symbols. It's a wonderful fluid experience to work with Soojin. I had just found this cool bird book from 1949 among my mother's things when she passed away. It's interesting that there are a few bird references here among the blog entries. |
